Expansion into Historic Territory
Our Tilt Cove project represents a significant step for Gold Hunter, capturing a broad area on the Baie Verte Peninsula.
The project is in the vicinity of the Nugget Pond Mine, recently acquired by Maritime Resources from Signal Gold.
Leveraging the area’s rich mining history, we aim to explore the geology of the Tilt Cove project to unearth untapped potential.
The ore system is only partially associated with the Paquet Harbour Group volcanics in which it is situated. This suggests that the mineralization could be linked to deeper geological processes, broadening the horizons of our exploration.
The main focus of our exploration is the contact zone, an intriguing geological interface between the underlying sheeted dykes and the overlying pillow lavas.
The ore system at the Tilt Cove Project is primarily hosted in mafic rocks, a broad category of dark-colored, magnesium, and iron-rich igneous rocks known for their metal-bearing potential.
